Chris studied at the Rand Afrikaans University and completed his post graduate studies during 1999. He joined one of the leading and most dynamic law firms in South Africa namely Deneys Reitz Inc. (now known as Norton Rose and Fulbright); where he completed his articles and was admitted as an attorney in 2001. Chris was appointed as an associate with the firm and gained priceless knowledge and skill in commercial drafting, commercial litigation, insurance litigation, aviation litigation and personal injury claims, motor vehicle accident claims (MVA law) as well as other fields of law.
During 2001 and 2002 he was seconded to Rand Merchant Bank to assist as part of a legal team (in collaboration with UK Law Firm, Allen & Overy, who were defending a substantial claim instituted by AIG International against First Rand Bank Limited, in the Royal Courts of Justice (London). Later in 2002 he joined the personal injury department of Deneys Reitz Inc. and then moved to the commercial department of the firm. He joined Reaan Swanepoel Attorneys in 2003 where he went on to successfully represent a wide variety of personal and corporate clients. In May 2010, Chris registered his own practice under the name of Rooseboom Attorneys, which is a sole proprietorship. Chris has completed a Diploma in Sectional Title Management (University of Cape Town), presented by Paddocks.
